The third quarter of 2021 saw notable trends in the performance of the top 5 air travel apps on iOS in Spain. Here’s a breakdown of their performance based on data from Sensor Tower.

Ryanair observed a consistent rise in weekly downloads, starting from 7.2K at the end of June and peaking at 9.6K in mid-August. The app's active users also followed a similar upward trajectory, growing from approximately 30K to nearly 39K by the end of September.

Vueling Airlines-Cheap Flights experienced a steady increase in weekly downloads, reaching a high of 6.8K in early August before a gradual decline to 4.6K by the end of September. Active user numbers showed a consistent rise from 21.6K at the start of the quarter to around 26K toward the end.

Iberia saw a modest increase in weekly downloads, peaking at 3.9K in early September. Active users grew steadily from 9.3K at the end of June to just over 11K by mid-September, before a slight drop to 10.3K at the end of the quarter.

Alsa: Buy coach tickets maintained a relatively stable download rate, averaging around 2.3K weekly downloads throughout the quarter. Active users showed a gradual increase from 3.5K at the beginning of the quarter to about 3.8K by the end.

Aena demonstrated a growing trend in downloads, starting at 1.6K and reaching a peak of 2.4K in early August. Active users increased significantly from 3.7K at the end of June to nearly 7K by the end of September.
